Step into the radiology future with the JiveX Enterprise PACS

To achieve the greatest possible benefit of radiology services in an overall medical context, image data must be available efficiently and reliably. Therefore, in addition to basic functions for interpretation, the JiveX Enterprise PACS also includes components which optimize the workflow across departments and institutions.

JiveX is characterised by a high level of interoperability, scalability, user-friendliness, and performance. JiveX ensures that all persons involved are always quickly and comprehensively informed - from the specialist physician to the referrer, to the patient.

JiveX Medical Data Management
Simply a well-rounded thing.

The mere existence of a comprehensive data collection is of little value. At the same time, it must be ensured that this data is archived consistently and well organized so that it can be accessed quickly: the right data - at the right place - at the right time – by the authorized user.

The core of JiveX Enterprise PACS is Medical Data Management. Users benefit from automated processes which eliminate time-consuming data searches, long loading times and complex data management.

Advantages of the JiveX Enterprise PACS at a glance
  • Non-proprietary integration via industry standards

  • Numerous opportunities for networking scenarios and interdisciplinary activities

  • Functional depth and variety for reliable response to diagnostic tasks

  • User-friendly through a high degree of customisability

  • Modern ways of working through mobility

  • Perfectly adapted to the radiology workflow

Integration
Medical Integration

DICOM and non-DICOM data can be consolidated and provided by one system with JiveX Medical Integration functionality.

The PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) has been developed into a true all-rounder which not only merges data from traditional modalities such as CT, MRI or X-ray. Information from other subsystems, such as endoscopy, also finds its rightful place in the PACS. A modern PACS must be able to integrate a variety of systems and formats accordingly.

JiveX Enterprise PACS is ideally equipped for this. On one hand, it systematically supports all relevant IHE profiles using conventional standards such as DICOM or HL7. On the other hand, it has conversion gateways with which even non-DICOM data such as JPEGs, videos or ECGs can be integrated. After conversion into DICOM format, this data can also be archived, distributed and viewed in a patient context.

Thus the radiologist receives a complete diagnostic picture which optimally supports them in their role as an interface between the various clinical subjects.

Deep integration into existing structures

JiveX can be seamlessly integrated into the entire IT structure. Connection of modalities and subsystems is independent of the manufacturer of the system or software. Deep integration into the RIS and/or HIS enables bidirectional communication between the systems, which simplifies processes in radiology and minimizes the time and effort needed for documentation and input on the part of the users. If image data from the RIS or HIS are accessed, the JiveX Viewer with the corresponding study automatically opens.

Conversely, it is also possible to to invoke specialized software from JiveX – directly from within the interpretation context. This way, the physician’s workflow is invoked and not interrupted. The relevant series is transmitted by JiveX when the specialized software is invoked and and it then opens accordingly, without any further necessary interaction.

Medical Viewing

JiveX Enterprise PACS
optimizes the entire reading process and ensures more efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The focus is on relieving the burden on the radiologist through a through maximizing adaptation of the system to daily routine workflows.

The JiveX Viewer, as a visible part of the entire system, plays an important role in this. An important feature is the modern and intuitive user interface which allows the user to familiarize themselves with JiveX in a very short amount of time. It is based on current design standard and has been awarded the renowned RedDot award.

From user's perspective, the intelligent hanging protocols which make it possible to view radiological studies on a monitor according to individual reading practices are particularly useful. Numerous post-processing functions, such as 3D volume rendering, vessel analysis or multiplanar reconstruction and also image fusion make findings easier.

During communication with clinical colleagues, the user is supported through automated and calendar-supported demonstration solutions.

Special solutions for specific requirements

In the web-based version, the JiveX Viewer supports the requirements for a flexible and location-independent work structure: Access to radiological image data is no longer tied to a particular workstation but is possible from anywhere, even with mobile devices. This saves trips, time and and spares nerves. JiveX Web is approved for diagnostic reading.

JiveX offers specialized solutions for reading mammographies – also for reading tomosynthesis studies.

In addition, JiveX integrates specific AI applications in the diagnostic reading workflow. Not only special questions can be answered easily in your normal workflow. In the future, artificial intelligence will also be particularly important in harmonizing and automating components of the routine spectrum and thus expediting interpretation.

Medical Sharing

JiveX Medical Sharing is the basis for modern care structures. It makes it possible for medical data to be easily shared with patients, physicians and medical records. This allows institutions to meet the upcoming requirements regarding modern data provision – without a complicated infrastructure and without compromising security.

Standard-based data exchange

With JiveX Medical Sharing, medical data is provided across sectors. The use of standards such as IHE XDS or FHIR guarantees vendor neutrality for institutions and complete flexibility when building communication structures. Integration into existing portal solutions is seamless and easy.

Moreover, JiveX Medical Sharing allows necessary permission based concepts to be implemented. Access is personalized and is limited to specified data – regardless of the nature of the data transfer.

The possible applications of JiveX Medical Sharing are diverse and range from networking across institutions to patient integration to improved communication with the health insurance medical services.

Medical Archiving

To meet archiving requirements from a statutory and strategic perspective, intelligent and secure concepts are needed. JiveX is specialized in management and archiving of radiological image data.

JiveX archives and manages vendor neutral and audit-proof, therefore independent of the manufacturer of the data-generating modality, as well as unalterable, searchable and traceable.

Reliability and long-term archiving with JiveX

JiveX supports various concepts and solutions to ensure reliability. One of several solutions for high availability is the independent operation of several servers which are continuously and autonomously synchronized through JiveX. If one of these servers fails, another one takes over, so that no data loss or failures can occur.

Long-term archiving of data requires careful consideration. With JiveX, various concepts can be carried out, depending on the individual requirements of an institution. Archiving in the cloud is also supported by JiveX which closes the gap between an in-house archiving system and an external data center. Encryption methods and data compression are also taken into account.

More efficiency in archiving through hierarchies

A hierarchical archiving with rule-based data replication represents the optimal utilization of available storage systems. Data which is not used for a longer period of time can be relocated to a slower and therefore more affordable storage system. If necessary, this data can be automatically restored onto the faster storage system any time in a rule-based way. This happens early on so that the data is always available to the user when they need it.
